Update on first bargaining session

LMU and the SEIU Local 721 Non-Tenure Track (NTT) bargaining unit met today for the first bargaining session, marking the beginning of the process. The meeting began with introductions, providing an opportunity to establish a respectful and collaborative foundation for negotiations.

The NTT faculty bargaining team delivered a presentation, which served to outline their priorities and key considerations. LMU presented recommended ground rules and norms to support the bargaining process.

Proposals

The NTT faculty bargaining team presented initial proposals for consideration. No decisions were reached at this stage. The university team will begin reviewing these proposals.

Bargaining Meeting Schedule

Both parties discussed a meeting schedule. The next bargaining session will be scheduled in early 2025.
